Jack Patterson, Baseball

Patterson tossed a three-hit shutout Sunday in the final game of the Bulldogs’ four-game sweep of Central Connecticut at Conaty Park. The southpaw struck out a career-high 12 batters as he became the first Bulldog since Craig Schlitter in 2014 to throw a complete nine-inning game. Patterson was his best as the game went along, striking out eight batters over the final four innings of his complete-game performance. For the year, Patterson is 5-2 with a 3.86 ERA and a team-high 66 strikeouts.
