Ward anchored the back row for Bryant in a convincing road sweep of NEC foe Central Connecticut Friday night in New Britain. The sophomore libero collected 22 digs in the three-set victory, which was Bryant’s first at Detrick Gymnasium since 2015. The win moved the Bulldogs into a tie with Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart for second place in the NEC at 5-2 halfway through the conference slate. Ward was named Molten/NEC Defensive Player of the Week for her effort over the weekend.
