Men's basketball & soccer earn NEC Team GPA Awards

SOMERSET, N.J. – The Bryant University men's basketball and men's soccer teams earned Northeast Conference Team GPA Awards for the 2019-20 academic year, as announced Wednesday by the NEC office.

The Bryant men's basketball program broke its semester GPA record for the fourth consecutive semester with a 3.45 GPA mark this spring. The Bulldogs held a 3.27 GPA overall on the year

The Bulldogs' men's soccer program recorded a 3.39 team GPA in the fall and 3.65 mark in the spring - good for 3.52 in the academic year - to take home the conference award.

In addition to their success in the classroom, both teams showed an upward trajectory in their sport in 2019-20. Men's basketball won 15 games, the fourth-highest total in Division I program history, while the eight victories by men's soccer ranked second in the program's D1 era. Both teams made it back-to-back NEC tournament appearances for their teams in 2019-20.
