Baker welcomed as Assistant AD for Operations

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University Athletics announced the addition of Brad Baker as the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations.

Baker comes to Smithfield after spending the past two seasons as the Director of Operations Olympic Sports at Iowa State. With the Cyclones, Baker served as the director of operations for the most teams in the Big 12. Baker handled the day-to-day operations for women's swimming and diving, women's tennis, women's soccer, women's golf and men's golf. Baker also played a integral role in the national search for a new women's soccer head coach in 2019. This past year, Baker served on the Iowa State NIL committee. His responsibilities included helping to chart a course forward to the Cyclone Athletic Department in the new era of NIL.

This will also serve as a welcome back for Baker as he served as the Director of Football Operations at Bryant in 2017 and 2018. Baker oversaw the day-to-day operations of the football program, including travel, meals, recruiting visits, on-campus liaison and pro liaison.

Baker has an extensive background in operations, spending time at Princeton and with the Chicago Bears. With the Bears, Baker oversaw all training camp operations from 2013-2016. That included new player arrivals, housing, camp scheduling and working with the scouting department. In addition, Baker served as a student assistant in football operations at Iowa State and was a basketball operations intern with the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League.

A Chicago native, Baker earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State in 2015.
