Bio

Mike Faria was promoted to the position of Assistant Sports Performance Coach in December of 2023. Faria worked his way up at Bryant after starting as an undergraduate intern in 2019. He then spent 2 years as a part-time assistant, and also spent the summer of 2022 as the interim head strength and conditioning coach. In his time at Bryant, Faria has had the opportunity to work with all 25 of Bryant's athletic programs. 

After originally committing to Bryant to play soccer in 2015, Faria was a member of the soccer team at the Community College of Rhode Island for one year before spending his final three years at Rhode Island College. He graduated from Rhode Island College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Physiology. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Concordia University Chicago. 

Faria is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and also holds other certifications including USA Weightlifting (USAW L1), and CPR/AED and Basic First Aid.
