A Commitment to Excellence in Athletics

Locker Room and Jarvis Weight Room Renovations

Bryant University is committed to renovating the Chace Athletic Center locker rooms (softball, men's soccer and baseball) as well as the Jarvis Weight Room for the benefit of our student-athletes and our athletic program. And now you can be part of this exciting project! Don't miss the opportunity to support Bulldog Athletics and its athletes and join the campaign to provide top-tier Division I facilities to our student-athletes.

Work has already started, and tax-deductible donations to the locker room and Jarvis Weight Room renovation projects will be accepted through the conclusion of the historic 2010-2011 season.

Construction began on both the Chace Athletic Center locker rooms and the Jarvis Weight Room on November 29, 2010 and will be completed by January 10, 2011, in time for the return of student-athletes for the spring semester.

The Chace Athletic Center phase of the project will include locker updates for the Bryant softball, baseball and men's soccer programs, the final teams to receive such renovations following the Bulldog Stadium project last summer. Inside the locker rooms, state-of-the-art lighting and brand new carpeting will be installed in freshly painted surroundings, and new media additions, including flatscreen televisions and updated sound systems, will improve the team atmosphere, as well as the ability to use film review in the coaching process. In the same fashion as the locker room additions and restorations that took place at Bulldog Stadium, the Chace Athletic Center locker rooms will compliment the elevated play of our Division I athletic programs and go a long way in giving ur student-athletes the most updated, state-of-the-art facilities possible.

The Jarvis Weight Room phase includes an overhaul to the varsity-only facility, located on the bottom floor of the Chace Athletic Center. The Jarvis Weight Room serves as the platform for the strength and conditioning needs all 22 varsity sport programs at Bryant University. The Jarvis project -- which includes the addition of significant square footage, new flooring and the integration of new and additional equipment -- will consists of a cosmetic facelift for the facility, which will reopen with a sharp new look tailored to the student-athlete. This project, in line with the goals of all Bryant's renovation projects conducted over the last 12 months, will allow the Jarvis Weight Room to provide a more suitable location for all of the Bulldogs' strength and conditioning needs on the Division I level.
