SAAC CAMPUS CLEANING DAY

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) hosted its first community service event of the year on Sunday, March 22^nd.  More than 70 student-athletes, led by SAAC co-chairs Steven Branch, Maureen Atkins, Kundayi Mawema and Jessica Clark, woke up early this past weekend to join together for a Campus Cleaning Day.  The goal of this event was to clean up all the cans and trash in the senior townhouse area of the campus.

The teams raised more than $50 for charity as a result of the cleanup.

The athletes divided and conquered the entire vicinity within an hour, collecting numerous cans that were to be recycled, at the same time helping keep the beautiful Bryant campus sparkling clean.   In addition to the members of SAAC, members of Bryant's 22 intercollegiate sports teams all participated in the event.
