D1Baseball.com lists Karinchak among top 100 college prospects for 2017 MLB Draft

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University baseball junior James Karinchak (Walden, N.Y.) has been named one of the top 100 college prospects for the 2017 MLB Draft according to D1Baseball.com.

The 2016 Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Year, Karinchak is slotted at No. 50 in the top 100. He is the only player from an NEC school listed and one of only three players from New England schools listed.

Karinchak enters his junior season with a 20-8 record and a 2.56 ERA in 29 career appearances. He is coming off a sophomore season in which he went 12-3 with a 2.00 ERA and set program records for victories and strikeouts (112). Karinchak earned All-American honors from Perfect Game/Rawlings, American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper following one of the greatest seasons for a pitcher in program history.
