SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University baseball team wraps up its 21-game road trip this weekend when it heads to Philadelphia for a three-game series against Saint Joseph's starting on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

PITCHING PROBABLES

Theetge will look to snap a four-game losing skid on Friday against the Hawks. The sophomore lefty is coming off a career-high seven strikeouts against Brown last Saturday. Theetge has allowed three earned runs or less in four of his five starts.
Karinchak returns to Bryant's rotation after not pitching each of the last two weekends. He has struck out 23, walked eight and allowed just seven hits in 13 2/3 innings.
SERIES HISTORY
Bryant and Saint Joseph's will be meeting for the third time in program history this weekend. The Bulldogs have won each of the first two meetings, defeating the Hawks 4-1 to open the 2012 season and then 13-8 during the 2015 season. In the game in 2015, then-sophomore Joe Paparelli (Preston, Conn.) hit his first-career home run and the Bulldogs used a seven-run eighth inning to put the game away.
NOTES AND NOTABLES FOR SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Bulldogs enter the weekend having lost seven straight and 14 of their last 15 overall. Bryant has now lost seven-consecutive games twice this season.
Each of Bryant's last five games have been decided by four runs or less. Of the five, three have been decided by one run and one by two runs.
The Black and Gold have used a different lineup in all 17 games this season.
Sophomore Tyler Panno (Rivervale, N.J.) has driven in at least one run in each of the last three games. He is now third on the team with nine RBI.
Sophomore Nolan Hayward (Glendale, R.I.) came off the bench to post his first-career multi-hit game on Tuesday at Hartford. He is now 6-for-12 this season and 10-for-17 (.588) in his career.
Classmate Nathan Wrighter (Windsor, N.Y.) has allowed just one earned run over his 8 2/3 innings. The big right hander tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief on Tuesday and leads the team with a 2.45 ERA in 11 innings.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Saint Joseph's enters the weekend at 2-11 but is coming off a 9-1 victory over Villanova on Tuesday. The Hawks are hitting .247 with 16 home runs as a team and have posted a 7.21 ERA. Deon Stafford Jr., a preseason All-American catcher, leads the team with a .333 average, 10 runs scored and a .516 OBP.
Vanderslice faced the Bulldogs in 2015, allowing three runs on eight hits with no walks and four strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings. He posted his best start of the year against Connecticut, striking out eight and allowing just three hits over seven innings. The Hawks top three starters have combined for 47 strikeouts and just 17 walks in 56 2/3 innings.
