Ten Bulldogs to compete in summer leagues

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Ten members of the Bryant University baseball team will take the field for the first time in four months as part of various summer leagues throughout the Northeast.

Covid-19 canceled Bryant's spring season after 15 games, with the Bulldogs posting a 4-11 mark. The Black and Gold won each of their final two games and finished the season ranked in the top 10 nationally in both stolen bases and stolen bases per game.

Bryant will have representation in three different leagues in the Northeast, with a majority playing in the newly formed Newport Collegiate Baseball League in historic Newport, Rhode Island.
