Bulldogs fall to Northeastern on Tuesday

BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Bryant University baseball team fell to Northeastern, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.

Bryant's pitching staff walked just three and struck out eight in defeat. Five relievers combined to allow two runs (one earned) on six hits, walked one and struck out seven.

Jake Gustin paced the offense with a pair of hits.

Key Moment

  • Teddy Beaudet put the Huskies on the board with a two-out, two-run single through the right side in the bottom of the second.  

How it Happened

  • A walk and an infield single put the first runners on in the second for Northeastern. After a ground out advanced the runners, Michael Stellato cut down a potential run at the plate. Beaudet, however, followed with a two-run single through the right side.
  • The Huskies completed their scoring with sac flies in the third, fifth and sixth.
