McGill earns second-straight NEC Player of the Week honor

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University baseball grad student Liam McGill was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday. 

McGill earns his second-straight NEC after going 6-for-11 with four RBI in a three-game sweep of Merrimack. He reached base nine times in the series, posting a .643 OBP. McGill scored three runs and delivered a key game-tying double to spark a five-run seventh inning in the series finale. 

In addition, Tyler Mattison and Vito Morgese were named NEC Prime Performers. Mattison struck out eight, didn't walk a batter and allowed just two hits over 6.0 scoreless innings in the series opener with Merrimack. Morgese closed the series with 7.2 innings of one-run ball. He walked one and struck out seven.
