Lowe dazzles as Bryant takes opener, 11-2
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Collin Lowe allowed just one hit and struck out 10 over 6.0 scoreless innings as the Bryant University baseball team opened the weekend with a 11-2 victory over Sacred Heart at Conaty Park.
Lowe was perfect through 5.1 innings and finished his afternoon with a career-high-tying 10 strikeouts. He allowed just one hit and didn't walk a batter.
Bryant's offense provided plenty of run support, breaking open the game early with a six-run third. John Tuccillo, Carmine Petosa and Matt Woods all posted two hits, while Alex Lane hit his league-leading 11th home run and drove in four.

Tuccillo and Gustin both reached and Lane lofted a high fly ball to right that got caught in the wind and carried over the wall for a three-run home run. The Bulldogs would add three more runs, scoring on a balk, a single from Petosa and a double from Woods.
- Logan Allen's RBI ground out scored Tuccillo (reached on an error) in the fourth.
