SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University baseball team begins a crucial Northeast Conference series on Friday afternoon when it welcomes Central Connecticut to Conaty Park. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs and Blue Devils enter the weekend separated by two games in the NEC standings. CCSU is tied for first with a 14-7 record, while Bryant is tied for third with a 12-9 record.
Friday starts a string of seven-straight home games to close out the regular season.

- Lowe is coming off a tough outing at LIU in which he allowed eight runs (one earned) on eight hits over 6.0 innings. A majority of the damage came in a six-run first inning.
- Lowe is 4-1 with a 2.34 in NEC play.
- Wichrowski will also look to bounce back after a short start that saw him last just 2.1 innings last weekend at LIU.
- Logan Frasier continued to pitch well, striking out six over 4.0 innings of two-run ball. He is 3-1 with a 2.79 ERA in league play.
Bryant vs. CCSU
- Bryant owns a 42-18 lead in the all-time series but the Blue Devils have won four of the last five. CCSU won each of games of a doubleheader to win the series earlier this year between the two teams.
- Bryant and CCSU have also met in each of the last two NEC Championship games, both won by CCSU.
