CHEER ATTENDS ALL-GIRLS CLINIC

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University Dance team, alongside the other Women’s teams at Bryant, participated in the all-girls clinic on Saturday, February 15th as part of The National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). The NGWSD occurs in the first week of February to honor the accomplishments of female athletes, recognize the influence that participating in a sport has on girls, and to continue to fight the struggle for equality of girls in sports.

The clinic was held in the Chace Athletic Center with interactive stations led by each of Bryant’s Women’s teams. The clinic aimed to provide younger girls from the local community a hands-on opportunity to learn the basic skills of each sport.

As their part of the clinic, the Cheer team taught the fundamentals of cheerleading and parts of their routine while creating a safe and fun environment for the girls.

The Bryant University Cheer team has been quite busy fundraising while gearing up for the National Cheer/Dance Competition in Daytona, Florida occurring on April 5th this year.
