Football announces 4-game NEC schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University football team announced its 2021 spring Northeast Conference schedule on Monday afternoon.

Bryant's announcement coincides with the NEC's release regarding revised regular season and NEC Championship formats for fall-to-spring, winter and spring sports.

Each NEC football team is set to play a four-game league schedule followed by a conference championship game between the top two teams. The winner will receive the league's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs. All games are scheduled to be played on Sundays.

Bryant is set to open the NEC schedule on Mar. 7 at Long Island. The Bulldogs will travel to Merrimack the following weekend on Mar. 14.

The Black and Gold will play their final two games at Beirne Stadium, hosting Wagner (Mar. 21) and Duquesne (Mar. 28).

The NEC Championship game will be played on a date yet to be determined in April. The FCS Playoff selection show is set to take place on Sunday, April 18.
