Former Bentley College All-America selection, Mark DeBrito begins his first year as a full-time assistant coach at Bryant University in 2008. DeBrito recently spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Bentley, serving most recently as the team's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
DeBrito, 29, was a standout wide receiver for the Falcons from 1996 to 1999. He finished his career with 238 receptions for 3,711 yards and 41 touchdowns, all New England Division II records at the time.
A native of New Bedford, MA, De Brito led Division II in receptions per game as a senior and still owns the New England Division II records for receptions and receiving yards in a season (101 for 1,637 yards).
Among the numerous honors received during his career, DeBrito was named a Burger King / AFCA Division II All-America in 1999 as well as Associated Press Little All-America (1999), co-MVP of the Eastern Football Conference (1999) and New England Football Writers Division II-III All-New England three times. He was also a co-recipient of Bentley's Outstanding Male Senior Athlete Award in 2000.
