Yoder, Barker and Borovskis named 2016-17 captains

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Head coach Shaunessy Saucier and the Bryant University field hockey staff named rising seniors Samantha Yoder (Mount Joy, Pa.), Emiko Barker (Hatfield, Mass.) and Elena Borovskis (Pequannock, N.J.) the team's 2016-17 captains.

Yoder is a three-year starter in the Bryant backline and an all-around sound player, setting the example for the team on and off the field. Over the years, Barker has worked hard to earn a place in the Bulldogs' midfield, providing a positive attitude through games and practices. Borovskis developed into a starting striker this season by going the extra mile and will be a key in Bryant's attack next year.
