Bryant places 11 on NFHCA National Academic Squad
MANAHAWKIN, N.J. -- The Bryant University field hockey team placed 11 student-athletes on the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, the organization announced.
In addition, the Bulldogs had three student-athletes recognized as NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction.
Bryant enjoyed an impressive semester on the field and in the classroom in 2023. The Black and Gold went 8-9 overall and won their first two America East contests in program history. In the classroom, Bryant had a 3.57 team GPA, had 21 players post a 3.0 GPA or better and had six post perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program exalts the academic brilliance of undergraduate collegiate student-athletes. This prestigious acknowledgment is reserved for individuals who have achieved an outstanding cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, nominated by their devoted NFHCA member coaches.
