2018-19 NEC television package announced

SOMERSET, N.J. – The Northeast Conference has announced its basketball television package for the 2018-19 season, a 26-game slate that includes two men's and two women's games for the Bryant University basketball programs.

The Bryant women's team will have the first game of the NEC-TV package when the Bulldogs host St. Francis Brooklyn at the Chace Athletic Center, Monday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. The Bulldogs and Terriers split the season series a year ago, with Bryant winning 73-63 in Smithfield last season behind 19 points from Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W.Va.).

The Bulldogs' women's squad will play its second game of the NEC-TV schedule with a contest at Robert Morris, Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. The game between the Bulldogs and Colonials will be the final clash of four NEC games to be televised that Saturday and will be played at RMU's North Athletic Complex.

Both meetings between the Bryant and Wagner men's squads will be included on the NEC-TV package, beginning with a Thursday, Jan. 31 contest on Staten Island, to be shown on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. Brandon Carroll (Brewster, N.Y.) recorded a career-high 25 points in last year's televised meeting on Grymes Hill.

The Thursday, Feb. 21 meeting between Bryant and Wagner at the Chace Athletic Center will air on CBS Sports Network at 7 p.m. It marks the fourth time in six years that the Bulldogs and Seahawks have squared off on the network and the first time a game at the Chace has aired on CBS Sports Network.

A men's wildcard game out of the five league matchups on Thursday, Feb. 28 will be announced by the NEC prior to that date. The Bulldogs will play at St. Francis Brooklyn that night.

ESPN3 will be home to both men's (March 9) and women's (March 14) semifinals, while the men's championship (March 12) will air on either ESPN or ESPN2, and the women's title game (March 17) can be viewed on ESPNU.
