Grasso recognized by College Hoops Today

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University men's basketball head coach Jared Grasso was recognized by College Hoops Today with John Rothstein on Wednesday as one of college basketball's top 16 coaches that are on the rise.

Grasso, who is entering his fourth season in Smithfield, has turned the Bryant men's basketball program around in three short seasons. Having won just 23 games in the three years prior to his arrival in 2018-19, the Black and Gold have won 40 games under Grasso. That includes back-to-back 15-win seasons, an accomplishment that's only been achieved one other time in DI program history, and an appearance in the 2021 Northeast Conference Championship.

Under Grasso, the Bulldogs have become of the nation's toughest teams to play against as well as one of the nation's most feared offensive teams. Bryant ranked fourth nationally in scoring offense (83.8) in 2020-21 and were also ranked in the top 10 nationally in temp according to KenPom. The Black and Gold have also knocked a member of the Atlantic-10 on the road in each of the last two seasons.
