Kiss named NEC Co-Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University men's basketball senior Peter Kiss was named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week on Wednesday. 

A two-time NEC Player of the Week honoree in 2021-22 and four-time winner over the course of his career, Kiss was unstoppable in a Bryant home sweep with 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals per contest. Following an 18-point outing in Saturday's seven-point win over the Mount, he exploded for 31 points, nine boards, six assists and three steals on Monday as the Bulldogs took care of SFU, 82-52, at the Chace Center. It marked his league-leading third 30+ game of the season. Kiss paces the NEC with 21.2 ppg and is averaging 24.2 ppg in league play. He also ranks in the NEC top-10 in assists (3.7, sixth), steals (1.9, fifth) and made three-pointers (1.8, eight).

In addition, Adham Eleeda was named an NEC Prime Performer. Eleeda was magnificent in Bryant's 73-66 win over the Mount on Saturday with 26 points and eight three-pointers, both of which were career-highs. For the week, he averaged 18.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.0 spg and hit 11-27 (.407) from distance. Eleeda leads the NEC with 49 triples and 3.1 per game.

Bryant returns to the court Friday night at Merrimack. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m.
