Bryant faces SFU Thursday night in Loretto

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team opens a four-game road trip on Thursday night when it faces Saint Francis U at DeGol Arena. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Saint Francis U wrap up their regular-season series on Thursday night. The Bulldogs won the first meeting between the two teams, 82-52, on Jan. 17 in Smithfield. Bryant held the Red Flash to just 15 first-half points and to just 4-of-25 shooting from three for the contest.           

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is now 9-1 in NEC play following Sunday's 88-81 victory over LIU. The Bulldogs have won six-straight games and are 9-1 in league play for the first time in program history.  
  2. Peter Kiss posted his 10th 20-point scoring outing of the season on Sunday, finishing with 30. He now ranks third nationally and first in the NEC with 22.8 ppg. In league play, Kiss is averaging 25.8 ppg and has scored 20+ points in 14 of the 23 NEC regular-season games he's played in his career. Kiss has also scored 25+ points in seven of his last eight games.  
  3. Charles Pride is averaging 16.9 ppg and 8.4 rpg during NEC play this season. Pride is 12th in DI program history with 846 career points. 
  4. Adham Eleeda has made at least three 3s in nine of his last 11 games. He is second in the league with an average of 3.05 per game, ranking 31st nationally.  
  5. Greg Calixte made his first start of the season on Sunday and finished with eight points and 11 rebounds. He's now averaging 5.7 ppg and 5.4 rpg in NEC play.
