BRYANT MEN'S GOLF SECOND AFTER OPENING ROUND OF NEW ENGLAND'S

PROVIDENCE - The Bryant University men's golf team is currently second out of eleven teams competing at the 2009 New England Division I Championships this weekend at Triggs Golf Course.
The Bulldogs took advantage of perfect, spring-like temperatures Friday to finish with a team score of 303. Sacred Heart leads after the first round as the Pioneers recorded a team score of 293.
Bryant was led by Jason Thresher who carded a team-best 73 on the day. Teammate Scott Congdon of Foxboro, MA was next with a round of 75.
Alex Daley followed with a 77 while Erik Tankanow and Kyle Hoffman finished at 78 and 83 respectively.
The two-day tourney will conclude Saturday morning.
