BRYANT GOLF TEAM IN THIRD PLACE AFTER ONE ROUND AT THE MULEKICKER FALL CLASSIC
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University golf team is in third place after one round of their fall season opener at the Mulekicker Fall Classic hosted by the United States Military Academy.
The Bulldogs as a team are in third place with a score of 299. The University of Hartford and host Army are tied for first with a score of 283. Following the Bulldogs are Holy Cross (302) and Assumption (308) in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Junior Kyle Hoffman (Pawtucket, R.I.) leads all Bulldogs and is currently tied for third place overall with an even par 70 after the first round. Hoffman shot a 35 on both the front and back nine. The junior is only two strokes behind the leaders. Following Hoffman is senior Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.), who sits in 13th place with a first-round 74. Senior Scott Congdon (Foxboro, Mass.) opened up with a 77, junior Alex Daley (Hudson, Mass.) shot a 78 and junior Erik Tankanow (Worcester, Mass.) rounded out the first round for the Bulldogs with an 80.
The Mulekicker Fall Classic resumes play tomorrow.
