NEC Champion Bulldogs draw Marist in NCAA First Four Wednesday, May 6

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The four-time Northeast Conference Champion Bryant University men's lacrosse team is headed back to the NCAA tournament for the third-straight season in 2015 and will, for the second time in as many years, start their journey in the NCAA First Four against MAAC Champion Marist on Wednesday, May 6.

Wednesday's game will be hosted by the Red Foxes (13-3) in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., at 7:00 p.m., with the winner earning the right to face off against second-seeded Syracuse (12-2) in the NCAA First Round Sunday, May 10 (7:30 p.m.).

The No. 3 seed in the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament, the Bulldogs (8-9) faced one of their toughest schedules ever in 2014-15, but came together when it mattered most, avenging regular-season losses to second-seeded Hobart in the NEC Semifinal, 11-8, and top-seeded Saint Joseph's, 10-6, in Saturday's NEC Championship Game.

Marist clinched its second MAAC Championship in program history with a 16-14 win over Quinnipiac University Saturday at home, earning its first NCAA tournament appearance in a decade with the victory.
