Massa brothers, Chesapeake win MLL Championship

DENVER – Bryant University men's lacrosse alumni Kenny Massa and Kevin Massa earned a Major League Lacrosse Championship Sunday in the Chesapeake Bayhawks' 10-9 victory over the Denver Outlaws to hoist the Steinfeld Trophy at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Kenny Massa, the younger of the two brothers and face-off specialists, went 11-for-22 at the face-off X to help Chesapeake to its sixth MLL title.

Kevin is a 2015 graduate of Bryant, while Kenny earned his bachelor's degree in 2017 and his MBA in 2018. Both brothers earned All-America honors in their time in Black & Gold and rank in the top three in program history in numerous face-off statistics.

Bryant begins its 2020 season Sunday, Feb. 10, at Beirne Stadium. The full 2020 schedule will be announced later this fall.
