SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The No. 19 Bryant University men's lacrosse team welcomes Northeast Conference preseason favorite Hobart to Beirne Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Hobart will be meeting for the 13th time in program history. The Bulldogs own a 7-5 lead in the series, including a 4-0 mark in Smithfield. Bryant and Hobart have met four times in the NEC Tournament, including twice in the NEC Championship.    

SCOUTING THE STATESMEN
Hobart was picked as the preseason favorite and is 2-1 on the year. The Statesmen have posted both of their wins over Mount St. Mary's. Adam Shea is winning 74 percent of his faceoffs, third nationally, and Ryan Archer has a team-high 13 points. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs enter the weekend at 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the NEC.
  • Bryant is off to its best start in DI program history and is ranked No. 19 in the most recent US Lacrosse Magazine poll.
  • The Black and Gold have allowed 10 runs or less in each of their last three games.
  • Logan McGovern leads the Bulldogs with 18 points (9g, 9a). 
  • Bennett Abladian also has 18 points (11g, 7a) and Jake Buonaiuto has a team-best 11 goals.
  • Mason Drouin has 10 goals on the season and is tied for the national lead with six man-up goals.
