Bryant hosts SJU in huge Saturday showdown

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team welcomes Saint Joseph's to Beirne Stadium on Saturday afternoon for a clash of Northeast Conference powerhouses. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and Saint Joseph's will be meeting for just the 10th time in program history this weekend. The Hawks own a 5-4 lead in the series, having won each of the last two meetings.     

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
The Hawks are in first place in the NEC with a perfect 5-0 record. SJU has won each of its last two games in overtime, including a 13-12 victory on the road at Hobart last Saturday. Matt Bohmer, Ryan Doran and Matt Tufano all have 20+ points on the season. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs enter the weekend at 5-2 overall and 3-1 in NEC play. Bryant hasn't played since April 3.
  • Logan McGovern leads Bryant with 11 goals and 10 assists. 
  • Bennett Abladian is second on the team with 20 points (13g, 7a). 
  • Jake Buonaiuto and Mason Drouin also have double-digit goal totals.
  • LaJhon Jones has 22 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers on the year.
