Bryant visits Sacred Heart on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team travels to Fairfield, Connecticut, on Saturday to face Sacred Heart. Faceoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant is 12-1 all-time against Sacred Heart. The Pioneers earned their first win in the series in 2019, scoring six third-quarter goals to earn an 11-8 victory.  

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers enter Saturday 1-11 overall and 0-6 in the NEC. Logan Liljeberg leads SHU with 41 points (17g, 24a) and Drew Edwards has added a team-high 27 goals. 

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs enter the weekend at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in NEC play. Bryant has lost its last two games.
  • Bryant will qualify for the NEC Tournament with at least one win in its final three games. 
  • Logan McGovern and Bennett Abladian lead a balanced offensive attack with 22 and 20 points, respectively.  
  • Jake Buonaiuto and Mason Drouin also have double-digit goal totals.
  • LaJhon Jones has 25 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers on the year.
  • Brody Rule has 17 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
