Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20

SPARKS, Md. -- The Bryant University men's lacrosse team is ranked 20th in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20 announced on Monday.

Bryant is ranked in the preseason Top 20 for just the second time in program history and the first since prior to the 2015 season.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 2021 season that saw them go 9-4 and claim their sixth Northeast Conference championship. Bryant then took a 10-9 lead to the fourth quarter against eventual National Champion Virginia, falling 13-11.

Bryant returns the core of that 2021 team, including leading scorer Logan McGovern and Marc O'Rourke, fourth on Bryant's DI scoring list with 159 career points. The Black and Gold also welcome back NEC Tournament MVP Luke Caracciolo between the pipes. In total, the Bulldogs return 20 players that made key contributions, each of their top five scorers, each of their top three leaders in ground balls and two of their top four in caused turnovers.

The Black and Gold open the 2022 season on Feb. 12 at Providence College.
