Bryant faces No. 14 Brown in Tuesday night showdown

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team makes the short trip to Providence to face in-state rival and No. 14 Brown on Tuesday night. Faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday's game will determine the 2022 Ocean State Cup champion. Bryant is the defending champion.

THE SERIES
Bryant is 4-7 all-time against Brown. The Bears posted a 17-7 victory over the Bulldogs in the most recent meeting in 2019. Bryant has won each of the last two games in Providence, including an 11-10 overtime victory over No. 2 Brown in 2016.     

SCOUTING BROWN
Brown enters the game with an 8-4 overall record and a 3-2 record in the Ivy League. The Bears are ranked No. 14 in the nation and have played four-straight top 10 opponents. Devon McLane leads the team with 39 goals and 20 assists for 59 points.    

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs are 7-5 overall and 5-1 in the NEC following a 14-7 win over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. 
  • Marc O'Rourke (39-14-53), Logan McGovern (16-26-42) and Bennett Abladian (32-4-36) pace the Bryant offense. 
  • O'Rourke and McGovern each recorded five points in Bryant's win over Mount. O'Rourke has scored 151 career goals, the most in DI program history. 
  • Jacob Alexander has won 64 percent of his faceoffs the last three weeks. He has 30 ground balls in those three games.
