Norfolk, Va. – Bryant University swimmers Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) and Elin Svärd (Falun, Dalarna, Sweden) were named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-Americans for the 2017-18 academic year, the organization announced on Wednesday.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Freshman Matthew Mays (St Croix, Virgin Islands) earned Rookie of the Meet honors after finishing his first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships with two silver medals and a gold in the 200 fly, contributing to a Bulldogs’ program-record score of 538.5 points through the four-night meet.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – For two straight seasons, the Bryant University men's swimming and diving team has finished third at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, looking up at Rider and Marist on the leaderboard. During the 2017-18 season, the Bulldogs fell in dual meets with the Broncs (183-115) and the Red Foxes (187-111). But that will not stop this Bryant team from believing that they can compete for an even better finish at this year's championships, one that would improve on the program-best third that they've placed the last two seasons.
