Bulldogs in second place after Day 1 of the MAAC Championships

Buffalo, N.Y. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team are in second place with a score of 64 after day 1 of the MAAC Championships.

Rider University is in first place with 74 points.

 

Coach's Keane's Comments:

 "We had a great first night! That win in the medley relay was big and set the tone for the rest of the week. Everyone is fired up and ready for prelims in the morning."

Notes and Notables:

  • Bryant started the meet with a dominant victory in the 200 medley relay by the team of Matthew Mays (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) FuKang Wong (Johor, Malaysia), Zach DiGiaro (Middletown, N.J.), and Juan Gonzalez (Al Safa, Dubai) (1:29.09).
  • This is the third time in program history that the Black and Gold have won this event.

The Bulldogs will compete on day 2 of the MAAC Championships starting with the preliminaries at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.
