Swimming and Diving Heads to WPI Invite This Weekend

WORCESTER, MA- The Bryant swimming and diving teams will head to Worcester this weekend to compete in the WPI Gompei Invitational. The event will take place over three days from Friday through Sunday. No spectators will be allowed to attend, but live video and timings will be available.

Bulldog Notes and Notables 

  • Bryant is the defending WPI champion, having won in 2019 with 6,640 total points.

  • Reagan Lord is a two-time NEC Swimmer and Rookie of the Week already this season. She has won multiple times in both backstroke events, including a pool record 56.72 in the 100 vs. Wagner.

  • Matthew Mays has notched NEC Swimmer of the Week honors once so far this season, and has won events in the 100 and 200 back, 200 fly, and 200 medley relay.

  • Leo Luna has earned a conference rookie of the week award as well, having won events in the 200, 500, and 1000 freestyle.

  • Griffin Lajoie (men's swimming) and Sydney Barnett (women's diving) have also garnered rookie of the week honors so far this season.
