Six Golds, Two NCAA B-Cuts Headline Penultimate Day of NEC's

GENEVA, OH- The Bryant swim and dive teams took home six gold medals on Day 4 of the NEC Championships, including meet records from Reagan Lord, Ben Prouty and the men's 400 medley relay team. Lord and FuKang Wong also set NCAA B-Cut times in the 100 back and 100 breast.

Notes and Notables (Men)

  • Wong's 53.96 in the 100 breast set an NCAA B-Cut time of 53.96 on his way to winning gold. Calvin Groeneowld won bronze at 55.25.

  • Freshman Andrew Gamper won gold in the 200 fly for his first career medal. Jake Williams won bronze for the Bulldogs.

  • Matthew Mays and Griffin Lajoie brought home another 1-3 finish in the 100 back. Mays hit the wall at 48.17, with Lajoie coming in at 48.46.

  • Ben Prouty won the men's fourth gold of the night and swept the men's diving events with an NEC record 251.20. Drew Arnold won bronze with a 233.40.

  • The 400 medley relay team of Wong, Mays, Lajoie, and Dom Scifo won gold with an NEC record time of 3:16.99.

Notes and Notables (Women)

  • Reagan Lord won her first career individual medal in the 100 back. Her time of 53.31 set Bryant and NEC records and was under the NCAA B-Cut time.

  • Sammi Grenon won silver and set a new school record in the 200 fly with a time of 2:03.56. Sara Gendron came fourth, also breaking the old Bryant record.
