Bryant University men's and women's swimming head coach Katie Cameron is pleased to announce the addition of former UMass-Amherst swimming standout Aimee Bourassa as an assistant coach beginning for the 2008-09 season.

A 2006 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Bourassa was an assistant swim coach for Binghamton University for the past two seasons. While with the Bearcats, she was responsible for preparing and implementing a rigorous distance training program, as well as assisting in all recruiting, fundraising and community service duties.

In Binghamton, Bourassa supervised the academic progress of the team, guiding them toward excellence in both sport and the classroom. Bourassa was also a member of the staff in 2007, when the Bearcat coaches were named the America East Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.

Bourassa brings additional Division I experience to the Bulldogs as both a coach and a former student-athlete, as she captained the Minutemen swimming and diving team as a senior in 2005-06.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, Bourassa is currently pursuing her MBA at Bryant University.
