MEN'S TENNIS DOWNS ITHACA 7-2
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC - A day after knocking off Kutztown for one of the biggest wins in the program's history, the Bryant men's tennis team followed up with a 7-2 win over Ithaca Wednesday afternoon.
Cristian Balestrieri got things going in singles play with an 8-3 win at No. 1, defeating Taylor Borda. Looking to rest a few of the Bulldogs after the emotional win Tuesday, Ron Gendron inserted a few newcomers to the lineup and they didn't dissappoint. Chris McKay picked up an 8-3 win over Steve Ochs at No. 6 singles and helped set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
Dylan Whiting moved up to No. 2 singles to rest Jose Rodriguez and came through with an 8-4 win over Alex Stoler. Thomas Nowak pulled out a 9-8 win over Josh Rifkin at No. 3, winning the tie-breaker 10-5.
Matt Sheppard-Lupo and Paul Chapman played a solid match at No. 3 doubles, winning 8-3.
The Bulldogs will round out the trip with matches against
Northern Kentucky Thursday and Bloomsburg Friday.
