BRYANT MEN TENNIS GARNERS PAIR OF NE-10 AWARDS
SOUTH EASTON, MA - Following an excellent week of tennis in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Bryant men's tennis standouts Jose Rodriguez and Cristian Balestrieri were named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Freshman of the Week respectively.
Rodriguez helped lead the Bulldogs to a 4-1 week including a 5-4 win over No. 28 Kutztown. The junior opened the week with a straight-set win at No. 2 singles and 8-4 win in the team's win over Missouri Valley. He would earn the critical point in singles play in the team's upset of Kutztown. His 6-4, 6-3 win helped set the tone for the team's victory.
Baliestrieri had three wins on the week at No. 1 singles and
added a pair of wins at No. 2 doubles. He posted a big
three-set win in Bryant's victory over Missouri Valley Monday.
