BRYANT MEN'S TENNIS SELECTED TO NCAA
TOURNAMENT
Bulldogs Travel to Bloomsburg, PA to Face
Adelphi
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's tennis team, champions of the Northeast-10 Conference for the first time since 1994, have been selected to participate in the 2008 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships next week in Bloomsburg, PA.
Bryant (20-3) and ranked No. 3 in the East Region, will open first round play against Adelphi University (13-8). Host Bloomsburg (14-5) will face Merrimack (10-6) in the other first round match with the winners to meet in the second round. The NCAA Round of 16 will take place May 14-17 in Houston, TX. First and second round dates and times have not been set but will run May 8-10.
This is Bryant's third all-time appearance in the NCAA tournament and the first since 2003 where the Bulldogs fell in the first round to Bloomsburg, 5-0 in Bloomsburg, PA. Bryant's previous appearance was in 1996.
Bryant defeated Adelphi, 8-1 for its first win of the season back on October 6 in Smithfield, RI.
