Before Bryant: Graduated in 2004 from Taunton High School. Played at position number one in singles for three years, and freshman and sophomore years ran the 300 meter race for track and field team. Graduated in 2006 from Bristol Community College with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Transferred to Bryant University in 2006 to continue education, 2007 first year playing on the University's tennis team.

Personal: Born December 22, 1985 in Brockton, MA. Son of Jorge and Julietta Silva. Ranked as high as 25 in singles under 16 years old in USTA New England 2000-2001.
