Bulldogs wrap up regular season with sweep of Sacred Heart

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team wrapped regular-season play with a dominant 7-0 win over Sacred Heart on senior day at Fore Court.  

With the win, the Bulldogs finish the regular season with a 12-15 overall record and a 4-0 mark in the Northeast Conference. Bryant will now await seeding for next weekend's NEC Tournament.

How it Happened (Doubles)

  • The Bulldogs started their dominant day with a clean sweep in doubles play. Redshirt junior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) and junior Artur Jakubowsk (Dallas, Texas) won at No. 1, seniors Luke Lorenz (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Nick Lamart (Raleigh, N.C.) won at No. 2 and seniors Jorge Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) and John Templeman (Midland, Mich.) won at No. 3.

How it Happened (Singles)

  • Kuhar capped off his in incredible regular season with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1.
  • Bryant also got singles victories from Lorenz, Jakubowski, junior Michael Plutt (Weston, Fla.), Ortiz-Garcia and Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico).
