Pertile, Pregel shine again on day two of Brown Invite

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team wrapped up day two of the Brown Invitational with a pair of victories on Saturday.

Coach Gendron's Comments

"Great effort today by our freshmen. Pregel and Schou competed well.  Pertile was outstanding in doubles and Kuhar and Jakubowski played very efficient tennis.  Todays effort was very solid.  We hope to finish strong Sunday."

How it Happened

  • Seniors Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) and Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) bounced back to defeat the Marist duo of Schouten and Sowinski, 3-0.
  • Bryant's other win came from the duo of sophomore Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and freshman Andrew Pregel (Cincinnati, Ohio). They defeated Boston University's Hartenstein and Stehling, 2-1.
  • Sophomore Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) and freshman Alexander Schou (Holte, Denmark) were defeated by Collier and Arocho from Brown.
  • Senior Michael Plutt (Weston, Fla.) and junior Guido Argentini (Boca Raton, Fla.) were defeated by C. Mullins and Palmer from Boston College.
