Men's Tennis unanimous favorites in NEC Coaches Poll

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team has been selected as the unanimous favorite to capture its sixth-straight Northeast Conference Championship by league coaches.

Bryant has won a league record five-straight titles and received all five possible first-place votes. It is the second-straight season the Bulldogs have been selected unanimous favorites.

Last spring, Bryant cruised to its fifth-straight crown, becoming the first team in league history to accomplish the feat. The Bulldogs boasted the NEC Player, Rookie and Coach of the Year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament where they faced Texas.

The Bulldogs have posted a 33-2 record in regular-season matches against NEC foes since the start of the 2010-11 season.

Bryant opened its spring season in January and is currently 1-4 on the year. The Bulldogs return to the courts this weekend when they host Boston University at ForeCourt in Cumberland.
