Bulldogs post 6-1 victory over BU on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Boston University on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened (Doubles)

• Bryant swept the doubles matches for the second-straight match.
• Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) and Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) earned a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 1 and Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) clinched the point with a 6-2 win at No. 3.
• Guido Argentini (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Trent Massam (Wellington, New Zealand) completed the sweep as they came back to tie at 5-5 before winning the tiebreak, 7-3.

How it Happened (Singles)

• Bryant closed out the match by winning five of the six singles matches.
• Kuhar won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 and Dong won 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2.
• Michael Plutt (Weston, Fla.) clinched the match at No. 4 with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory.
• Andrew Pregel (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Andrew Forchetti (Orange, Conn.) completed the day with victories at No. 5 and No. 6.
