Men's tennis downs FDU, 6-1, Sunday

TEANECK, N.J. – The Bryant University men's tennis team won its 16th-straight Northeast Conference regular-season match on Sunday afternoon against Fairleigh Dickinson. The Bulldogs posted a 6-1 victory.

"Good win today. FDU fought hard, especially in doubles. Happy to get out of Jersey with a win."

How it Happened

  • After splitting at 2 and 3, the duo of Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) and Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) earned a 7-6 (3) victory at 1 to secure the doubles point.
  • In singles play, Bryant won at every spot but No. 1.
  • Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) earned a hard-fought 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 4, and Alexander Schou (Holte, Denmark) won 6-3, 7-6 at No. 6.
