Bulldogs to face Columbia in NCAA First Round

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team will face No. 16 Columbia in the First Round of the 2019 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships on Friday afternoon.

Bryant learned its fate during Monday's NCAA Selection Show that aired live on NCAA.com.

The Bulldogs won their sixth-straight Northeast Conference championship on Apr. 20 with a 4-0 victory over Wagner. Bryant enters the NCAA Tournament with a DI program-record 20 wins.

Bryant and Columbia will square off on Friday afternoon at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the site of the US Open. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Monmouth and Penn State will square off at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, with the winners meeting on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The winner will advance to next week's Super Regionals.
