SOMERSET, N.J. -- The Bryant University men's tennis team has earned the No. 1 seed in this week's Northeast Conference Men's Tennis Championships, the league announced on Monday.

The 2022 NEC Men's Tennis Championships will take place at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, N.J.

Bryant's No. 1 seed comes after a perfect 6-0 mark against league opponents this spring. The Bulldogs solidified their spot with 5-2 victories over St. Francis Brooklyn (No. 2 seed) and Fairleigh Dickinson (No. 3 seed) in each of the last two weekends. Bryant is now 43-1 in NEC regular-season play and hasn't lost a match since April 10, 2015. The Bulldogs have won six NEC titles, most recently in 2019.

The Black and Gold will face No. 8 seed Wagner. Bryant and Wagner squared off in the 2019 championship, won by the Bulldogs, 4-0.
