Bryant downs Quinnipiac, 4-3
HAMDEN, Conn. -- The Bryant University men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened
- Bryant won the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Diego Serra Sparrow and Marcus Macaulay won 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2, while Ryan Fu and Diego Trejo cruised 6-1 at No. 3.
- Singles turned into quite the battle as Bryant built a 3-0 lead before the Bobcats rallied to tie the match.
- Fu won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 and Will Pellegrini won 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 at No. 4.
- Leonardo Mileikowsky then pulled out the clinching point with a dramatic three-set victory at No. 1. Mileikowsky lost the first set 3-6 but battled back to win the second set, 6-2. In the third set, Mileikowski won 7-6 (7-5), claiming the point by winning a long rally.
- Quinnipiac's three singles points all came in three sets.
