2008 Season Outlook: After splitting last year between pitcher and designated player, Dobmeier will look to win playing time as the team's primary designated player. Dobmeier showed a good eye at the plate last season (five walks in 28 at bats) and will look to boost her batting average and power numbers. 

As a Sophomore: Dobmeier served as the team's third pitcher, tallying a 4-2 record in 10 appearances including two complete games. She had a 5.61 ERA in 9 starts and a relief appearance. Witht he bat, Dobmeier compiled a .143 batting average with a double in 28 at-bats.


Before Bryant: Dobmeier is a transfer from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College in North Carolina. In her 2006 season she led her staff with 112.1 innings pitched, and racked up a .361 batting average and 18 RBI in the batter's box.She was named First team all conference in the CVAC. In high school, she was a three-sport star who competed in softball, volleyball and indoor and outdoor track. She was First team all-league her junior and senior years.

Personal: Anne Dobmeier was born on February 14, 1987. She is the daughter of Bob and Peggy Dobmeier. Anne is a Management major.
